The Solemnity of Pentecost was lived in Rome with a message of fraternity
“With the Spirit we sow the hope of peace, fraternity and justice” expressed the Holy Father during his homily in St. Peter’s Basilica regarding the Solemnity of Pentecost, on Sunday, May 19.
The delegation of the 53rd International Eucharistic Congress was present at the ceremony, made up of bishops, priests, nuns and lay people from Ecuador, headquarters of the IEC 2024.
During the Angelus prayer, he encouraged people to ask the Holy Spirit for harmony in their hearts, families and society, “may the Spirit make communion and fraternity grow among Christians of the various Confessions,” he expressed.
In this way, the Supreme Pontiff urged people to let themselves be filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit to live in love, respect and freedom; with a strengthened and harmonious heart for meeting others.
